Do you also enjoy those dazzling performances by the Ricciotti ensemble? They are made possible primarily by the Ricciotti team (eight people) and, of course, the orchestra members. But the board of the Ricciotti ensemble Foundation, which consists of five members, also makes an important contribution. At the moment we have two vacancies: we are immediately looking for a general board member and, from the autumn, a new chair.
The board meets four times a year with the business manager and the artistic director. It has several fixed duties, such as approving the budget, and it advises the management both on request and unsolicited. There may be matters that require decisions in between meetings, such as the appointment of a new conductor last year. Board members are not paid.
Given the current composition of the board, we are looking for at least one non-male board member. We could especially use expertise in donor relations, sponsorship, and legal matters. Good contacts in The Hague political scene and experience with non-classical music are also very welcome.
